The Department of Astronomy (DoA) at Tsinghua University invites applications for postdoctoral positions in areas broadly related to cosmology, galaxy formation and evolution, high energy astrophysics, exoplanets, and time domain astrophysics. Candidates with background in instrumentation, observation or theory are all encouraged to apply. Successful candidates are expected to work closely with faculty members in similar areas, and will have access to a variety of domestic and international observing facilities and computational resources. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in physics, astronomy, or a related field by the date of appointment. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply, regardless of gender, national or cultural origins. The main selection criteria are research accomplishments and potential for future success.

The applicant should also arrange for three letters of recommendation to be sent to the same email address. Initial appointment is for two years, renewable for a third year depending on performance and funding. Successful candidates will be offered competitive salary compensation and housing accommodation.

The appointment is for a period of two years, renewable for a third year subject to a performance review and the availability of funding.
