with expertise in the areas of History and Civilization, Values and the Meaning
of Life, Applied Ethics in Humanities and Social Sciences.
Job
Requirement
Candidates
should have a PhD degree in a related discipline. Successful candidates are
expected to be committed to excellence in teaching at undergraduate levels.
Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrable ability to undertake
independent research leading to outcomes with a strong impact, such as
publication in high quality, internationally recognized, indexed journals and
scholarly presses. Academic rank will be determined in accordance with
successful candidate’s experience and accomplishments. Candidates who have
teaching experience in History and Civilization, History of Southeast Asia,
Modern Western Thought, American Civilizations, Applied Ethics in Humanities
and Social Sciences are to be favorably considered.
Benefits and Appointment Terms
Commencing
salaries will be commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience.
Fringe benefits include housing allowance, leave and social insurance. Appointments
to these positions will initially be made on a fixed-term contract with mutual
agreement.
