Professor/Associate Professor in Computer Science, Mathematics or Statistics


Job Description 

We seek to appoint an associate professor/professor in one or more of the following disciplines: 
• Computer Science with significant competence in applying artificial intelligence. 
• Mathematics or Statistics

Applicants should have a track record of publications and academic achievement to complement their research in the School of AI and Liberal Arts and be able to lead in the disciplines of Computer Science and AI, or Mathematics and Statistics.

Applicants should show a strong profile through demonstrable excellence and leadership in research and teaching. Successful candidates will work with talented lecturers to deliver vibrant, relevant education to students, using modern pedagogic approaches to develop their profiles.


Job Requirement 

The candidate will be expected to lead and deliver lectures and seminars on topics within the School of AI and Liberal Arts. Candidates must have a PhD in computer science, mathematics/statistics, or closely related disciplines and an international reputation in research and scholarship. An established track record in high-quality research output and the ability to attract external research funding are distinct advantages. Teaching and tutorial experience in computer science, mathematics, statistics subjects at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in an international English-speaking institution is also essential.

The candidate will be expected to contribute to teaching and curriculum development for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, assess and examine students, supervise students, perform high-quality research, and obtain external research grants.


Benefits and Appointment Terms

Commencing salaries will be commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience. Fringe benefits include housing allowance, leave, social insurance and commercial insurance. Appointments to these positions will initially be made on a fixed-term contract with mutual agreement.
