Job Description
The Women Empowerment Council is seeking a person who is passionate about women empowerment and thrives in a start-up work environment. The Project & Event Manager should be capable of leading projects, managing events, strengthening client relations, and applying strategic thinking to decision-making. The ideal candidate has an entrepreneurial mindset, is bilingual and customer-service oriented, with strong organization and time management skills.

Responsibilities
- Lead, support & recruit Chinese SME membership
- Work with team to successfully run annual Women Empowerment Forum
- Work with team to successfully lead Women Entrepreneur Marketplace
- Support the Women Empowerment Awards in China: drive nominations, coordinate with judges to evaluate nominees, manage logistics, venue, and programming
- Support projects: Girls in STEMM, Group Coaching, Leadership Development Program
- Contribute to WEC marketing, social media, and media strategy and execution as required, take lead in all the Chinese related media
- Manage and support ongoing events: Member-Hosted Events, Strategic Partner Events, Quarterly Executive Meetings, Executive and Women’s Leadership Roundtables
- Liaise and work with WEC team and client to coordinate events and program logistics, e.g. venue, invitations, equipment, etc. to ensure smooth and seamless flow
- Strengthen client relations (member companies)
- Support research and consulting projects as needed
Requirements
- Bachelors degree
- 5+ years of project and event management experience
- Excellent Chinese written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent Chinese report writing
- Chinese government relations work experience
Preferred
- Experience working with corporate clients
- Entrepreneurial mindset
- Bilingual English ability preferred
