Job Description
Applications are invited for appointment as Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Anaesthesiology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 522384), to commence as soon as possible, on a two- to three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Sciences or a related field, preferably in pain medicine or neuroscience. They should have substantial postdoctoral experience in laboratory-based research in neuroscience and/or pain, with an excellent track record of high-quality publications in the related areas. Experience in independently leading high-quality and innovative research projects is required. Success in research grant applications would be an advantage. The appointee is expected to help the Department develop and advance research programmes related to pain-related and neuroscience research projects.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
