Job Description
Applications are invited for appointment as Research Assistant Professor (holding the functional title of Project Manager) in the School of Nursing (Ref.: 519001), to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D degree in Public Health, Nursing, Social Sciences, or a related discipline. They should demonstrate evidence of high-quality research as indicated by publication record; excellent project management skills; the ability to work independently and under pressure; a strong sense of responsibility and self-motivation; and good coordination, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
The appointee will work for the Jockey Club SMART Family-Link Project under the supervision of Dr. Kelvin Wang, with the aim of promoting family well-being by leveraging ICT for innovative family services. He/She will coordinate research design; liaise with community parties and institutions; plan, develop and conduct community-based interventions and training programmes for local social service practitioners and professionals; facilitate the collection of big data; oversee data collection and management; write scientific publications and reports; supervise research staff members; and perform other duties as assigned.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
