Job Description

 

Positions 

English teachers for English major undergraduates, non-English major undergraduates and postgraduates; Japanese and Russian language teachers for Japanese and Russian major undergraduates.

Requirements

  • 1) Must abide by China’s laws, decrees and regulations and SCNU’s regulations;
  • 2) Native speakers of English, Japanese or Russian；
  • 3) Applicants for English teaching positions must be UK, US, Canadian, Australian, Irish or New Zealand passport holders;
  • 4) Holding a Master’s Degree or above (degree in humanities or social science preferred);
  • 5) Holding a TESOL/TESL certificate;
  • 6) Experience in teaching English, Japanese or Russian at university level preferred;
  • 7) Responsible, passionate and cooperative.

Salary & Benefits

  • Yearly salary: 180,000 RMB before taxes (including housing subsidies & international air tickets)
  • * No housing offered on or off campus.
  • * Successful applicants must purchase the commercial medical insurance.

Responsibilities

  • 1) Teaching 12 periods (40-minute per period) per week;
    • * 20 academic weeks in a semester.
    • * Courses: Speaking, Writing, and English/Japanese/ Russian for academic purposes.
  • 2) Conducting writing workshops, and appearing as judges in contests or extracurricular activities;
  • 3) Developing teaching and other resources.

工作职责

  • 1）每周12节课程教学（一节课时长40分钟）
    • 每学期共20周
    • 讲授课程：口语、写作和阅读，等等
  • 2）指导学生写作工作坊和相关课外活动，或担任评委
  • 3）开发教学及其它资源等
