Are you interested in TAing for a Gen-Ed course that explores contemporary South Asian society through musical and dance performance? I’m looking for NTU students in any field, who are responsible, good at time management, possess decent computer skills, and able to lead discussion in English.

Your work will include the following:

1. Assist me in preparing the course material and maintaining the NTU COOL course site plus our course WordPress site.
2. Sit in the class lectures (all in English), manage student sign-in grades, keep track of leaves and absences.
3. Assist me in audio-video setup and processing the reinbursment for the guest lectureres.
4. Help students with the weekly reading assignments (approx. 10-15 pages in English per week).
5. Assist me conduct the group discussions in English during class, facilitate discussions and give grades according to students’ participation; assist in organizing the reading reports, mid-term and end-term project presentations, give feedback and suggest grades.
6.Collect the students’ group and individual work according to the deadline and assist in giving feedback and suggesting grades
7. Assist with the final grade calculations.

Class time: Mondays, periods 7, 8, and 8. A similar syllabus is available from semester 112-2 if you search with the same course name.

Work hours: 7 hours per week (3 hours in class, 2 hours for teaching prep, 2 hours for student affairs assistance)

Salary: according to the NTU standard for EMI teaching assistants (12000NTD/month for PhD, 9500NTD/month for Masters students, 7000NTD/month for bachelor students).
