Job Description

About the School

The School of Education originated from the Research Division of Higher Education established in 1982, then transferred to the Institute of Higher Education Research in 1987. The Department of Educational Economics and Administration was founded in 2002, and the Institute of Education was established in 2009 by means of merging. Due to the fast-growing need for training school teachers, Tao Xingzhi School of Teacher Education was founded in 2019, opening two majors in subject teaching — English and physics. Nowadays, the School of Education consists of the Institute of Education and Tao Xingzhi School of Teacher Education.

The School of Education is authorized to confer the Ph.D degrees and Master’s degrees in education and administration. The School also provides Ed.D (Doctor of Education) and Ed.M (Master of Education) programs.

The School of Education contains four institutes: the Institute of Higher Education, the Institute of Educational Economics and Administration, the Institute of Teaching and Curriculum, and the Institute of Educational Psychology, and four centers: the Research Center of Jiangsu Education Examination, the Research Center of Jiangsu Prestigious Teachers Development, Yangzte River Education Think Tank, the Higher Education Research and Evaluation Center.

  1. Description of Openings

School of Education invites outstanding young talents from all over the world who are interested in the field of education. There are vacancies for one tenure-track assistant professor and one tenure-track associate professors this year. The candidates are expected to teach and research in the following areas:(1)   subject teaching (English or physics)

(2)   higher education

(3)   educational economics and administration;

(4)   teaching and curriculum

 

  1. Qualifications

(1)   Abide by the laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China, and have a passion for teaching and research;

(2)   Abide by the ethics of teachers, uphold academic integrity, be willing to work diligently, and have no criminal record or record in breaching the ethics of teachers and/or academic integrity;

(3)   Have a first-rate background in academic training—specifically, a PhD in relevant disciplines, experience in studying and/or working at first-rate teaching and research institutions, and knowledge of the latest international trends and development in the relevant research field(s);

(4)   Have outstanding teaching abilities—the applicant should be able to teach core and frontline courses in the corresponding discipline, and have sound teaching methodology and strong verbal skills;

(5)   Demonstrate outstanding research output and potential—the applicant should have publications in his/her field of research, original ideas about relevant fields of research, a clear vision about future research plans, and good potential for further academic development.

南京大学教育研究院·陶行知教师教育学院2022年度准聘长聘教师岗位招聘公告

 

南京大学教育研究院的前身为1982年成立的高等教育研究室,1987年更名为高等教育研究所,2002年成立教育科学与管理系,2009年改建为教育研究院,2019年在保留教育研究院建制的基础上成立了陶行知教师教育学院,开办学科教学(英语)和学科教学(物理)领域。

我院学位类型齐全,可授予教育学博士学位、教育博士学位、管理学博士学位和教育学硕士学位、教育硕士学位、管理学硕士学位。

我院设有高等教育研究所、课程与教学研究所、教育经济与管理研究所以及学校心理教育研究所,拥有江苏省教育考试研究中心、江苏教育名师发展研究中心、扬子江教育智库、高等教育研究与评价中心等人才培养和学科建设平台。

 

一、招聘岗位设置

南京大学教育研究院·陶行知教师教育学院拟面向全球招聘有志于从事教育领域各主要研究方向的优秀青年人才到我院工作。本次拟招聘准聘助理教授1名、准聘副教授1名;特别优秀的高层次人才岗位另议。研究方向包括:

1. 学科教学(物理)、学科教学(英语)

2. 高等教育学

3. 课程与教学论

4. 教育经济与管理

5.突出的科研成果显示度与未来科研发展潜力:应有相关研究方向的成果显示度,对相关研究领域有原创性观点,未来研究计划思路清晰,具有较好的学术潜力。
