We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Software Engineer.

Business: Wholesale Technology

Principal responsibilities

• Participate in technical design of features with guidance.

• Take ownership and accountability for production incidents, in terms of timely communication, escalation and incident hygiene.

• Identify potential system improvements and explain their benefits.

• Support the establishment of a digital environment and automate processes to minimize variation and ensure predictable high quality code and data

• Continuously contribute to code, ensuring compliance with all relevant controls and standards including relevant Service Management Standard.

• Keep up-to-date and have an understanding of the specific impact of the functional delivery, the business context of change and how a delivery may impact other functional areas.

• Lead production incident reviews for the team.

• University degree in computer science, information technology or a related discipline.

• Understanding and ability to apply Project Management discipline and portfolio management.

• Communicate effectively with all levels of stakeholders

• Solid working experience in business or technical analysis

• Strong understanding of technology and its application, up to date with latest technology trends and ideas in the wider market.

• Experience in presenting to senior business and technology stakeholders.

• Can understand, build and present business cases.

• Strong communications skills in both written and verbal in English.

• Commercial acumen and good risk management and mitigation skills.

• Positive, proactive and can- do attitude.
